Comprehensive Plan Board

The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan Board (CPB) is to provide guidance and the foundation for the development of the first Comprehensive Plan for the City of Albany, as well as to make recommendations to the Common Council regarding adopting the plan. The Board consists of 25 members who were appointed by the Common Council.

Specifically, the CPB:

  • Developed and reviewed the Request for Proposals;
  • Will facilitate the framework for the Comprehensive Plan;
  • Will ensure adequate public outreach and input;
  • Will assist in the development, review and modification of goals, objectives, policies & programs.
